Look Back to See How Far You’ve Come

Looking back is the only way to know how far you’ve come. With the help of many generous and supportive clients, friends and colleagues, I’m devoting this final edition of the Milestone Nugget to sharing their recollections. “When I think of Laural I remember a drafting table set up in her tiny apartment in Toronto. The beginnings of Impagination is an incredible creative journey that has taken her far. Her clients have been many and varied but I think Ash Creek Pottery can claim to be the smallest. I still have samples of the work she did to promote my studio and all the precious Christmas Cards that remind us of her talent but more importantly her love and friendship. Such treasures. For those of you who don’t know what Envoy 100 is, suffice to say that in the mid ‘80s, you had to “dial up” your connection using a rotary phone and, after hearing a horrible screeching noise, you were able to send files at speeds of 1,200 bits per second (correct… 1,200 bits, not Megabits!).
