Hello,

Have you ever woken up before dawn to go on a series of blind dates?

That's what it felt like last month when I woke at 5:30 AM to attend a speed networking breakfast. For 15 rounds, we went from table to table exchanging business cards and, with 60 seconds on the clock, explained what we do to our partner of the moment. It was intense. It was exhilarating. And by the end, I had earned a well-deserved mug of tea and had some fun sharpening an essential business skill: the elevator pitch.

You could be in line grabbing a coffee, at a conference, or on an actual elevator, and the opportunity to generate new business with a well-crafted 60-second pitch could present itself. How quickly you communicate what you do with clarity and impact can make all the difference in those serendipitous situations! In my latest blog post, I share my tips for creating a pitch-perfect elevator pitch.
