Autumn lessons from farmers

Erin Fall Fair Giant Pumpkins

While in the country recently, I saw that the once green fields are now harvested. Gorgeous displays of fresh produce and talk of fall fairs and farmers markets were in season among the agri-businesses presenting their finest goods to eager fans. Farmers know to "make hay while the sun shines" by taking advantage of fine weather to prepare the farm for next season and by sharing their bounty with food fans before winter escapes are top of mind.

What lesson can we learn from farmers?
September is the unofficial "new year." School historically restarted after kids finished work on the farm. This is also the best time to take stock of your business, to revisit your 2015 goals and to see what remains in order to achieve your priority goals before the end of the year.

At this time, we check our lists and identify our best clients and fans to be sure we recognize everyone who made the biggest difference to our business this year. Some we meet for lunch and dinner, others will receive a remarkable holiday greeting and some will be given a unique client appreciation package. See our Great Greeting™ Midas Touch Checklist to kick-start your thinking.

How do you demonstrate appreciation to your fans?
This pop-up snowglobe is a perennial favourite - easy to mail, dramatic to open and kept on display year after year. Gather your lists, and contact us before October 15 if you need help with your client appreciation campaign this year. We have remarkable ideas available in pint-size quantities, or by the bushel to be customized with your company logo.

If you're still not convinced, read our 2015 Great Greeting™ survey results to find out what promotions will best honour those relationships you've cultivated, and business you've harvested this year.
